Swimming Pool Maintenance Tips
On a hot summer day, knowing that you have your own swimming pool to enjoy is such a relief. Just imagine being able to take a good dip even in the middle of a very busy day when you no longer have the luxury of time to go out and drive to the nearest resort.
However, owning a pool is not just about all the good times. You also need to consider its maintenance that needs to be done regularly, unless you want to share your pool with unwanted bacteria and other particles. This is one of the responsibilities you need to take in exchange for the comfort it offers you.
You might think that maintenance is just as easy as making sure that your pool water looks clean, but it is never just that. There is still a lot that needs to be done in between to make sure that you will have a fully maintained pool that’s ready for use at any time of the year. With this, read these few tips on how you will be able to maintain your pool.
Clean out skimmer baskets weekly
Your skimmer is usually installed on the side of the swimming pool. Its main job is to skim pool surface before debris and other contaminants become saturated and float down the bottom of your pool. The more effective your skimmer is, the more stuff can be skimmed off the pool.
Check the water level
Your pool water should not be too high or too low, it should always be balanced. It needs to be at the right level of your pool skimmer or the pool tile. A low water level can run the pump dry and even burn it up. If it is too high, this will result in your skimmer to not work properly.
Clean pool filters
Your pool filters should be cleaned on a regular basis or as often as needed. It is best to clean them every four to six months, depending on the conditions of your pool.
Whether you do swimming for exercise or leisure, it should only be done in safe and clean water. Should you need a professional swimming pool maintenance service, call Water Splash Pool Plastering at (209) 712-0600. We are based in Lodi, CA.
